received EXCLUSIVE News Agency Masonic Romania
It I find it necessary to recall the values of the Appeal of Strasbourg, the foundation of CLIPSAS.
Above all, the eleven Sovereign Masonic Powers met in Strasbourg on January 22, 1961 as stated in core rétablier among all Masons Union Chain broken by regrettable Exclusive contrary to the principles of the Constitutions of Anderson. Restoring the Chain of Union is the purpose of the Centre Laision Signatories, the CLIPSAS.
To do this, the signatories believe that placing the work under the invocation of the Great Architect of the Universe and to require that the Three Lights is the holy book of a religion revealed itself to be at the discretion of each Lodge and each Obedience.
And this entirely new basis, the Signatories to the Appeal decide établier fraternal relations between them and open the doors of their Temples, unconditionally reciprocity, to any Freemason who received the Light in a just and perfect Lodge.
Finally, the eleven signatories call upon all Freemasons to join them this Channel Union based on complete freedom of conscience and a perfect mutual tolerance.
On both absolute Liberty of Conscience that the tolerance of the Appeal of Strasbourg and therefore CLIPSAS, I recall three major statements:
In the Proclamation of 1960, basic work in Strasbourg I noted: <<>>.
Upon second meeting on 10 CLIPSAS Jiun 1961, the President stated: "if one believes in God and Obedience in the immortality of the soul, is his absolute right." But that is not reconcilable with the Strasbourg Declaration is that it tends to impose on other Orders there is no reason to exclude any Obedience what may be called the Alliance Strasbourg, from the moment she adheres to the principles outlined in the Request.
Finally, addirmation fundamental Universality in 1973 to a question if the recovery continues CLIPSAS of universality, even if with the United Grand Lodge of England, the Grand Master Zeller of the Grand Orient of France declares, with the agreement of all members of CLIPSAS: there is no exclusive principle against the United Grand Lodge of England: if it takes us as we are, we shall be satisfied.
For nearly fifty years with many Obediences joined the Chain of Union of Strasbourg Appeal, and we are currently 64 Obediences on five continents. And, by joining the Union Chain CLIPSAS, they endorsed the above commitments.
It is with great sadness and concern that I note with some desire to be CLIPSAS to appear on their card, while showing the greatest contempt for the values of mutual tolerance that membership imposes.
Worse, I heard the recent smear campaigns unworthy of a Mason and unbecoming of members of CLIPSAS.
If, unfortunately, it had to pursuivre, I think that measures should be proposed to the General Assembly of CLIPSAS.

Marc-Antoine CAUCHIE
