The reception organized by the Marquis de La Fayette's Serene Grand Master Grand Arab Orient Universal, Jean-Marc Aractingi, was a resounding success.
On 6 August 2010 at 7:30 p.m., the Grand Master of GOAU, Jean-Marc Aractingi, gave a public lecture, followed by a debate on the subject of initiation into Islam and political freedom in the Arab world, in the salons of the Hotel Ibis Beziers, at the invitation of the association Marquis de Lafayette attended by members and officers of the Association but also Freemasons and large French Obediences ( GODF Grand Lodge of France, Strict Observance, Glmu, GLFF, ...), from a personal basis.
Because of topics and passionate debate, the conference ended at around half past one in the morning. The Grand Master, Jean Marc Aractingi, has agreed to become President, in exercise of the Honorary Committee of the Association Marquis de La Fayette.
It is worth noting that the association Marquis de La Fayette is a secular and public works for the strict respect of the example given by the Marquis de Lafayette, French general and politician, Hero of Two Worlds, Citizen honor of the United States of America since August 8, 2002, because of his active participation in the fighting that led to the Independence of the United States, its commitment to Human Rights, the abolition of Slavery and the death penalty, among others.
The August 6, 2010 at noon, during a friendly lunch, was signed a protocol of friendship between the Grand Arab Orient Universal Masonic and power, whose Serene Grand Master Jean Morelon.
The next day the Grand Master of GOAU in the presence of personalities who have joined his Obedience visited Sete and Montpellier on the places that should house the temples and lodges that will become established.
At the end of this journey of two days in Occitan, the Grand Master of GOAU, in compliance with protocols and friendship that bind to the Obedience of other Masonic powers, said the organization and expansion GOAU in Languedoc-Roussillon the Most Illustrious Brother Jacques Villard, naming it for the occasion, Provincial Grand Master.
