130th Anniversary of the United National Grand Lodge of Romania 1880

THE GLORY OF THE GRAND ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE

GREAT NATIONAL UNITED LODGE OF ROMANIA

ASSOCIATION FORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH DECISION NO. 40/PJ, DIN 26.04.1935, COURT SECT. BUCHAREST III

ALL THE WORLD'S GREAT LODGES

I remind you remember the invitation of the month, but on behalf of the United National Grand Lodge of Romania 1880, share the excitement of the celebration of its 130th anniversary on 10-11-12 September in Bucharest.

September 1880 - In the eyes of the world, Masonry Romania becomes official, both in domestic and international.

Scattered through the country, Lodges created over 150 years by various foreign Obediences, a mosaic patchwork.

In September 1880, they unite and assert their independence and builds the first Grand Lodge of Romania joining these lodges under a National Obedience independent and sovereign will continue to proclaim himself as such until today.

Since that date, in 130 years, the Romanian Masonry has come a path that has made him known worldwide by the personality of his brothers: Moroiu Constantin Mihai Kogalniceanu Maiorescu Titu, Voievod-Vaida, George Valentine Bibescu, Pangal Ioan Mihai Sadoveanu, Alexandru Paleologu are some names who illustrated his story.

The College repeatedly banned by government extremists reborn like the Phoenix bird, each time, from the ashes. He claims its legitimacy, as the oldest Grand Lodges of Romania, true vector traditional Romanian Masonic heritage.

130 years, it is time that Masons today celebrate this anniversary with the same attention to durability, the same enthusiasm, the same commitment as those who preceded us.

On this occasion the 4 th International Symposium Interobédientiel will be held September 10 in Bucharest, which we ask you to bring your contribution and therefore retain these dates.

The theme of the symposium this year encourages us to reflect on some of the major contemporary issues:

"Quality of life and development people at the Third Millennium:
· Protection of our biodiversity.
° Respect for our cultural diversity. "

The topicality of this problem is obvious. However, we emphasize that our approach is in line with international thinking on these subjects and we quote, among other things, the declaration by the United Nations of 2010 as International Year for Biodiversity, the celebration by the UNESCO May 21 of each year World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development or the declaration by the same organization, the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures in 2010.

Enclosed you will find programs, registration forms and details of your stay in Romania.

Awaiting the pleasure of welcoming you, we send you your very respectable grandmasters and all our brothers and sisters, our very Fraternal greetings.
